After having worked as a consultant at Logica and Enea I moved to California in 1998.
In August of 1999 I joined the startup Niku Corporation. As an architect, I was an important member of the team that produced the foundation on which Clarity, Niku's core product, is built. Among other things I designed and implemented the persistence framework still used in Clarity. I have always been detail oriented, evident in the persistence framework which is still the most well tested part of the architecture.
Through this position I gained experience in major portions of the Java EE world. Today's popular frameworks such as Spring and Struts didn't exist when we started out but as they became available, I spent quite some time evaluating them.
Niku was acquired by CA in August of 2005.
When I moved to the US it wasn't clear for how long I would stay. It turned out to be 8 years. In August, 2006 I moved back to Sweden and I'm really excited to be back.
