Agile Requirements Analysis and Planning for Product Success, 21-23 September 2015
This interactive and engaging training teaches you how to use agile planning and analysis practices to continually deliver high-value products. Integrated workshop exercises give you hands-on experience in holistically analyzing product needs (requirements) and making just-in-time decisions on which product needs to deliver next. The practices you learn provide powerful insights into requirements and ways to optimize agile planning.
You learn how to amplify the benefits of agile delivery by “slicing” requirements based on value. Learn a variety of collaborative and visually rich techniques that creatively engage stakeholders as “product partners.” Experience how to use “structured conversations” to explore, evaluate, and confirm product options using the 7 Product Dimensions to holistically incorporate functional and nonfunctional requirements. Leverage a variety of interrelated analysis models to enhance conversations. Utilize a variety of techniques to specify clear, unambiguous acceptance criteria to confirm—verify and validate—the team’s shared understanding of the requirements.
Experience how to derive well-understood features, minimum marketable features, or stories for allocation to your next planning horizon. You discover how to analyze and plan any agile planning horizon.
You can apply the planning and analysis skills you learn to any agile method your team uses, including time box, flow, or hybrid approaches. You learn how to continually refine a lean, healthy product backlog and ways to adapt these practices for a variety of projects

Group activities and scenarios to practice on were great.
I can leverage right away the elicitation techniques, story mapping, 7 product dimensions, context diagram and other models as communication aids.
Most beneficial: how to decompose a ‘want’ or ‘desire’ into manageable chunks of work that can be delivered independently. Great material.
