Agile and empowered teams are a fantastic starting point, but they are not enough on their own. Autonomy and empowerment work wonders for motivation, but how do we know if we are striving in the same direction? The right direction? How do we measure real progress and true success? How do we learn if our business objectives are correct?
Something is needed to bridge the gap between strategy and execution. To enable collaboration between teams and ways to measure if we are successful and moving towards our goals.
This is a hands-on course where we describe how to bring to life and communicate strategies and tactics with goals and agile metrics. We use OKR (Objectives and Key Results) to describe these, and you work with your own backlog/to-do list that you bring to the course.
We’ll cover, among other things:
- Why OKRs?
- How it works in practice, how to animate them
- Coordination between many teams
- Common pitfalls and problems
- Inspiration from other organizations
- KPIs and Diagnostic measures
- Balancing of metrics
- Short- and long-term metrics
- How to formulate compelling and engaging goals
- Creating your own OKRs
- Where to start?
Who is it for?
This course is aimed at those who create and communicate tactics and strategy for their own group and others. You are, for example, a business leader, product manager, product owner, architect, strategist, or similar.
