Last week in London, product management guru Marty Cagan and his Silicon Valley Product Group (SVPG) partners hosted a new event: Coach the Coaches. From hundreds of applications they hand picked 50 accomplished product coaches from all over Europe to attend the event. During three days the participants took part of what SVPG has learned about product coaching and they started a community around the product management approach that separates the best from the rest. SVPG’s purpose with the event is to extend their network of recommended product coaches.

Out of the six people from Sweden, no less than four were Crisp coworkers: Iyasu Ghirmai, Jennie Mårtensson, Joakim Sundén and Marcus Castenfors.

It was a fantastic event that several of the participants described as career defining. Marty and his partners Chris, Lea, Christian, and Jon, of course had a lot of experience to share, but the biggest inspiration was the collective experience of them and all the 50 participants.

“To be a part of this network will have a significant impact for Crisp, but more importantly for our clients, as Crisp’s ability to help organizations differentiate themselves from the rest will increase substantially”, says Joakim Sundén.

“Something that really stood out was that it isn’t about frameworks and theories, rather results and making it work”, says Iyasu Ghirmai (featured in the picture with Marty Cagan).
